Category 1: Emotional

How you feel emotionally is the key indication of how stress is impacting you. By noticing what your emotions are and when they show up will help you pinpoint where you need to focus in order to reduce the impact stress has on you.

Category 2: Physical

People underestimate the significance that stress has on their bodies and how it contributes to physical discomfort, disease and weight issues. These physical indicators are warnings, your body’s way of saying “pay attention,” before these common symptoms that lead to a more serious physical issue.

I experience upset stomach, heartburn, diarrhea, constipation or nausea.

Category 3: Behavioral

Stress negatively affects how you react or respond to the emotions you are experiencing, and these reactions or responses are often automatic and unconscious. When you understand what is driving that behavior then you know where to begin in order to reduce the negative impact stress is having on your body, your emotional and mental health, and on your quality of life.
